I love this window and admire it often whilst out on walks with the LWD.

A mullion is a vertical element that forms a division between units of a window or screen, or is used decoratively. When dividing adjacent window units its primary purpose is a rigid support to the glazing of the window. Wikipedia

A gorgeous window! The first house I lived in after getting married had mullion windows and I loved them....just got plastic ones now :(

Hi Maggs. I too LOVE THIS WINDOW. the shape and design of that center part /white area, is really a "hot decorative" idea that can be found in home decor' shops. In our home in two areas I have a design so much like that "arch"... I may have even posted a shot of two of them over our mantel . I even love how you framed the window with those brown dried pods and stems.
well done Maggs. have a good weekend. :)

Beautiful window set off by the stone work, the teasels are standing up well, any remaining seeds in the heads will soon be germinating

I an understand why you admire it every time you go past. Beautiful design and workmanship. Modern windows are so utilitarian while this is a work of art.

I understand why you took this photo, there is something harmonious but also mysterious. And I like the silhouettes of the brown dried plant in front of it.
