Allium - Then and Now.

Allium - Then and Now.
This photo was taken in my garden in mid May. The photo in the PiP was taken almost a month later. The same flower at different stages of it's lifecycle and both quite beautiful in their own way.

Tanja - Loughcrew, trester88, Frans Schols, Marco F. Delminho and 19 other people have particularly liked this photo

They are both beautiful pictures Keith. The PiP 'now' has a certain beauty to it, which is very well captured. I find the stages of the flower fascinating. I have some in my garden, but they haven't bloomed so well this year. I'm pleased to see that yours have.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend Keith. Still very warm here but with a slight breeze.

Glad you think so Rosa.........I'm pleased you like these. We only have a few these in the garden, but will be collecting the seed for next year. We find these a bit hit and miss, but we're ever hopeful :-)

They are both so different, Keith !!
I would never have imagined that such vibrant flowers would appear later
I really like also the PIP, it almost looks the tail of an original peacock

Thank you Judite. I really enjoy photographing flowers but sometimes I find the seed heads are much more fascinating than the flower heads. Glad you like both photos.

Lovely photos Keith. My neighbour has quite a few of these flowers in her garden and they are quite tall now.

Thank you Jenny............you should scrounge some seeds from her, I'm sure they'd do well indoors as well.

I only have a few in my garden at the moment, but we're saving the seeds from these to plant for next year Wilhelm. Thanks for your lovely comments.
