Beautiful Demoiselle Damselfly. (+PiP)

Beautiful Demoiselle Damselfly. (+PiP)
Taken last Friday afternoon near Southwick, Hampshire.

This aptly named Damselfly is found along many watercourses where I live in the south of England. It likes to sit on perches over fast flowing water. I was lucky enough to visit such a place with a friend who had local knowledge.

This one is a Male.......and you can find a photo of a Female in the PiP.

Best viewed large, I think.

Glad you like these two shots Tanja...........they're such beautiful little things and it was great fun trying to get photos........they move very fast and only settle for seconds at a time. I deleted more shots than I kept :-)))
