Beautifully captured. Lovely bokeh and a typical blackbird expression.

How have you kept this from us for 6 years Keith!! It's superb and the lovely blackbird stands out so well against the blurred background. Their song is my favourite of any birdsong I have personally heard.

A very smart bird. I wonder how long they live, maybe only a few years.

A great picture...
Until a few years ago I had a house blackbird, which even knocked on the terrace door with its beak when its plate of food was empty...

Oh yes. I remember. Those birds that feed on pen ink. This capture is perfect and shows this beautiful singer in all its splendor . Kind regards, Anton.

Always good to see these wonderful blackbirds Keith. The same kind of fence that I took my latest blackbird perched on. I like your out of focus background here too. As Rosa says their song is beautiful too. Well done.

Thank you my friend. I have a couple of regulars that visit the garden at the moment and they're great fun to watch.

I'm not sure we even have blackbirds in N. America! Plenty of crows... I'll have to look into that. I would right now, but you know how busy I am! A good, clear shot of a handsome little bird.

Glad you like this one Diane.............and you do have blackbirds in North America, just not exactly like ours:

Have a link: www.birds-of-north-america.net/blackbirds.html Saved you the bother of looking it up :-))

Good grief, what am I thinking? I've seen red-winged black birds all my life! I don't know about the others. Yours are the kind that go in pies, poor little things.

I expect the red-winged ones would taste better :-))
