I love the low angle and the colourful shingle Keith. Nice focusing on the sea kale against the out of focus sea. Really good shot!

An exercise in differential focusing my friend. This Sea Kale stands out well captured in this fashion. Not too sure whether I would have personally left the ships in though but it does paint the scene for us. Well done. ~ Herb

Thanks Herb. I did think about cropping the ships out, but decided to leave them in for a bit of context, but I think the shot would work either way. Glad you like it though.

Well focused! I like that you have incorporated the ships in the background, it makes for a good contrast! I am always amazed that crambe maritima can grow that tall between the pebbles.

Thanks very much. Glad you like the background too. I actually had a closer look - they seem really well rooted.
