You should know how much I LOVE shots like this!! You have to get the dof just right. You have to have absolute razor sharpness on the petals. If your lighting is off, it's going to stand out like a sore thumb. Trying for cool bokeh also adds to the valuation. In all aspects, you knocked this sucker right out of the ballpark! HOOOOO-WAHHH!!!!! I also loooooove the range of green to yellow in the petals.
Totally marvelous. And your description...STILL LAUGHING!! PERFECTION! *high five*
Thanks so much on your comments about my b/w pictures. I'm so glad you enjoyed them! I don't think that b/w is popular to everyone because I think it takes a little more time to appreciate these pictures and so many are more interested in flashy, colorful images. But it's such a wonderful art form, as you know! Also, building strong skills with b/w makes us better photographers in all forms because you must think in terms of contrast and how the light changes the appearance in the image. Fun stuff. I love looking at your b/w pictures and evaluating why they are so successful, and I try to keep that in my mind when I do my own b/w! :)
Ein wunderbares Bild von der Geburt einer Blüte!
