So beautiful. I love the gorgeous colors in the sky and also the visible detail in the silhouette of the castle. Just enough to make out the interesting textures and shapes.

I really appreciate what you had to say about my flower insets. You remind me that truly, the area of importance is what I should be concerned about and if the rest goes out of focus, it's ok.

Your camera has an auto-stacking feature? SIR, I DEMAND THAT YOU TRY IT OUT!! :D I would love to see how well it works, how totally cool to have that as an option. I do love stacking and have tried it a few times with a fair bit of success but it's so time-consuming and fussy. MEH! But it's got its place.

Thanks again for the wonderful comments, I love them! :)

Thanks as always Diane for your enthusiastic and funny comments..!!

I'll be sure to give the in-camera focus stacking a go this year!

I love the three lines of colour ending with the fiery gold along the beautiful building, which to me looks very French. This is another place on my list to visit Keith....I'd better get a move on!!

Thanks Rosa. I have a list of places to visit too............but it's so long that I fear I'll run out of time to get to them all. I wish I'd discovered photography when I was young :-)

Eine schöne Abendglut liegt über der Skyline. Und doch erkennt man sehr schön die Strukturen im Mauerwerk. Ein stimmungsvoller Schuss, Keith!

I visited here with a group from university (history) on what proved to be one of the coldest days of the year (1977 from memory). Too cold to derive any pleasure from the trip. I always meant to return but never did.
Splendid capture!

Thanks very much Andy. I usually visit the castle and grounds a couple of times a year, it's always well worth it. Such a shame you didn't enjoy your visit ;-(
