I'm envious of this superb shot Keith. I drove across the NF yesterday, from Fordingbridge to Nomansland but in fading light. One day I will eventually be there in the middle of the day.

Thanks Neil...............I'm chuffed that you like it. I find the New Forest a bit hit and miss sometimes and get lost frequently, but always a good day out - even if I don't get any decent photos. Good to know you are getting out and about again though.

I've now finished at work - yay!! My "official" retirement date is 6th October, but I have enough outstanding leave that I don't actually have to go in anymore except to return kit, keys etc. I feel like a great weight has been lifted from my shoulders!

That's great news your wish has come true. Welcome to the club!
Now all your weekends will be free and you will be able to alternate them with popping down to Exmouth and popping up to Skye ;-)

Thanks Neil............I shall be doing my best to do very little else. Skye may be a tad to far but I have plans for another trip to Skokholm and another to the I.O.W. so far.

Unfortunately...............my wife's plans are somewhat different and include decorating, gardening etc. I shall do my very best to avoid such things :-))
