Not the best of days for visiting the beach. It was difficult to stand up against the wind. These four images are of the waves hitting the outside deck of the Inn on the Beach, Hayling Island and the ajoining groynes. Bear in mind that the pebbles I was standing on are about 15 feet or so above sea level. If you look closely you can see some of the the pebbles from the beach being tossed up in the waves.

And not a hint of spray on the lens! How did you manage that, Keith?

I kept my back to the wind, and my lens has a very deep hood. I still had to clean it off a couple of times between shots though.

I guess a seagull or two got ker-zonked by a flying pebble. I would think the risk of that happening to you would put you off.
But no. Not a bit of it!!!

What a series. They are all great but, if I had to pick a favourite, this is it.

Breathtaking! That giant coming up behind the crasher is amazing.
