Wooow ! This photo transmits a very intense moment, very sensitive, very powerful. The clouds, the sun, the shines, everything contributes to this precious work. Just a small objection, I should be lying right now in the sand of this beach.

Oh many thanks Anton - I love this one too. She said it was magical just sitting there taking the pictures. The sunsets only seem to last around 10 minutes from beginning to end down there. They are very extreme, especially if there have been storms and some clouds are hanging around. I'd like to be on that beach too, only I'd have liked to have been there for a few hours before this!!!! Also I'd need to have the bar close to hand so I could have a lovely cool drink to watch this fire in the sky.

I believe her when she says it's unedited. I too have seen the odd sunrise (never sunset) with this intense colouring from a high-rise flat I was in a few years ago.
Someone explained that it could be due to volcanic dust up in the stratosphere. Maybe that's the case here.

Wow, this is just electrical!! :D I would say it might be better if not so intense in the processing, but I love it just the same. I think your daughter could take the original and create a series with both the original image along with several processed versions for people to enjoy. In fact, a series like that can be turned into a really awesome collage, which looks fantastic as a framed piece.

Mandi doesn't agree with enhancement etc through an app - this is the original photo as seen by her when she took the photo. I thought it was too dark for it to be natural, but she said that that was exactly how she saw it. She's seen many sunsets there and so haven't always taken photos as they're mostly the same, this time and a couple of other times, it was unbelievable. It could also be the way she held the phone and how she angled it, that it became deeper in colour.

WOAH!!! That's just NUTS! Seriously, it looks heavily filtered...how amazing! TY for explaining to me that it wasn't filtered! CRAZY COOL!! :)

Well I just didn't want you to think she'd added filters etc to it. I asked her again tonight if it was really like that and she said "Yes - why do you think I took a photo of it? I've never seen such a dramatic sky like that or intense a colour before". There had been a bad storm just before, and another one was on its way and over there, sunsets only last around 10 - 12 minutes, so that's why they're so intense.

Well, it's just amazing to see! :) Congratulations to her for being in the right place at the right time!
