Whitby Lifeboat moored at Eyemouth Marine for repairs in 2018, This is a Trent D class all weather boat named George and Mary Webb ,
The traditional wooden cabin cruiser in the adjacent mooring looks to having more extensive repairs. SEE PIP

So good to see old boats being restored and put back into use rather that being left to rot away, especially one's as important as a lifeboat, which are always very well built and will last for years yet with a bit of TLC.

The old cabin cruiser is beautiful with lovely lines.............it must have been quite something when it was built. It looks like it needs a lot of work, but restoring it will be worth the effort!

Thank you Keith, The lifeboat was returned to her station at Whitby and I would love to have seen the wooden cruiser when it was finished but on a return visit it had sadly gone.

Sadly not, It looked to have had hand painted name boards which had been removed before the restoration started.
