Mind the Gap,

The Telescopic "Bridge of Scottish Inventors" was a footbridge to serve an exhibition center built on the site of an old dynamite factory at the southern tip of the Ardeer peninsula in North Ayrshire it was opened in 2000 and closed after just 3 years due to low visitor numbers, the bridge has been locked in the open position to allow shipping to pass,

Blimey! I hope that's properly signposted on the approach roads............you'd get a real shock speeding toward the footbridge on a bike if not..!!

It doesn't detract from the view though.............which is wonderful, especially in the sunshine. Very nicely captured Roger.

The bridge gate are securely padlocked at both ends and with a total revamp of the area coming soon hope for a bridge restoration is possible.
