Across the Minch

The Minch is a 70 mile Atlantic Ocean sea channel that separates the Outer Hebrides from the Isle of Skye and the mainland and is protected by seven lighthouses. it is criss- crossed by a number of ferries which often face weather related disruption. A small part of the islands in the far distance is illuminated by a shaft of light from the evening sun and to the far left of the image is Skye's Waternish Point, beyond which can be seen through the mist one of the Shiant Islands (as indicated by a note) Recommend a large view.

Rugged land.

Another in the occasional from the archive series again its an image from Elgol and the Black Cuillin and Loch Scavaig on the Isle of Skye this time from 2019, weather conditions are typical of the ever changing conditions on this coast. A large view may show a number of waterfalls tumbling down the rock faces.

Mind the Gap,

The Telescopic "Bridge of Scottish Inventors" was a footbridge to serve an exhibition center built on the site of an old dynamite factory at the southern tip of the Ardeer peninsula in North Ayrshire it was opened in 2000 and closed after just 3 years due to low visitor numbers, the bridge has been locked in the open position to allow shipping to pass, Another image in 16.9 format so a large view may be beneficial, HFF and a good but safe week,

Weather Station,

Looking across a choppy Loch Scavaig and past the fence to the cloud topped Black Cuillin range from Elgol, Isle of Skye, They appear to have picked a good location for this one ;-)) Wish everyone HFF and a nice weekend but take care!
