Hello Roger, "What does a Turnstone look like"? That's what came to mind when I saw the Thumbnail, but to be honest I am really not to sure on this.
Good catch just the same and I'm sure the answer will come up shortly.

The markings on the head are definitely those of a Turnstone, and I think the legs of Turnstones are more colourful than those of s ringed Plover.

No sé si alguien lo dijo. Creo que es un Chorlito Grande [Charadrius hiaticula], aunque también se parece al Chorlito Dorado Común [Pluvialis apricarius] pero este último tiene las patas de color negro, mientras que el Chorlito Grande las tiene amarillas, eso decide.
