Thank you Smiley, This is the highlands and mobile phone signals can be very patchy therefore telephone boxes are still plentiful.
This slipway and a temporary ferry became the only way in and out for a very large area after a landslide closed the only road for many months.

Thank you Roger, first time visit to Stromeferry and found the place so enchanting lunch was missed, It was the post box with it's flap presumably to stop birds nesting that caught my eye.

Thank you Jean, because of a landslip that closed the A890 during 2012 this slipway was used for a car ferry for travel between Lochcarron and Plockton thus avoiding a 140 mile detour.
Mobile phone signal is almost non existent in this area so a landline is essential and I had forgotten about button B what a lovely reminder.

This one brings back a strong memory of standing on the water edge on a red hot day with the Loch absolutely flat calm. I walked into the woods and an enormous dragonfly landed with a thud on the back of my T-shirt put my had back and felt it’s body before I saw what it was and it flew off!
