This just amused me, Andy. They slap those ugly signs on marble and then can't be bothered to maintain them. Oh -- this is part of a set of five provincial government buildings, and the buildings were clearly intended to be showpieces. But Toronto is populated by philistines.

It's the Macdonald Block, Bob, which is one of a set of five provincial government buildings in downtown Toronto. Named for Sir John S. Macdonald (not Sir John A.). As I mentioned to Andy, these buildings were definitely designed as showpieces but then they deface the marble with the signs and then don't maintain the signs.
