A fascinating facade............and very tall too, judging by the two figures. Some sort of gym in the basement and some interesting looking images in the windows on the ground floor. I like the lines and shapes in the metal fire escapes and the trees - one seems to be doing OK and the other not so well :-) I'm wondering why some of the windows have been bricked up?

More questions here than answers........I'm guessing offices, not residential - but no clues in the windows!

Nicely captured John..........you do like to tease us!

Thanks, Keith. The view on Google Maps suggests there is still a fitness club in the basement, but the apparent sporting goods business seems to be gone. The rest of the building is a mystery. For a long time the building contained one of the most popular restaurants in Toronto; the decor was like something out of a dream. It and four other restaurants in the same building with the same owner could seat 2,300 people.

A great abstract shot, John, with lots of interesting geometric shapes. All the best, Joe

Fascinating fire escapes. I love the shadow of the one on the left. Wondering how you reach the ground if you come down them. Even if I hung from my arms I wouldn't be too happy about hitting the ground. Have a happy and healthy week.

Thanks, Jean, and the same to you. I hadn't noticed the issue with the fire escapes. Usually the bottom section is weighted so it only descends when someone is coming down, but neither escape seems to have anything like that.

You just need a rope and tackle to get up there, Esther.
