Photographs always go better with Coke.

Great shapes and colour but, being a Scot my non-alcoholic tipple is Irn Bru

Thanks, Jean. I like Irn-Bru but it's hard to find here. You pretty well have to go to the supermarket. Of course, the variety of soft drinks is diminishing generally as the big companies buy up or muscle out competition. And increase the size of the cans and bottles.

Haven't drunk one of those in years now - once I found that caffeine didn't agree with me. It's interesting, though, that even a chunk of their logo is instantly recognizable.

I'm not a fan of cola drinks myself, Bob. I suspect most of the cost of a can of coke is the relentless advertising to maintain brand recognition.

Notable for your tight framing - very arresting - and the ability of the advertiser to use a surface other than flat, It's a great logo and by and large we don't tire of it. Can't say the same for the drink. If it cleans tarnished metal and loosens rusted up bolts, it ain't going inside me.

Thanks, TLC. I don't like Coke myself, but you can't fault their marketing. As I mentioned to Bob, that's probably most of the cost of a can.

It's a testament to the power of advertising, that everyone instantly recognises the product and the brand, even when only shown in part, as in this shot!

I love this one John............the tight framing, the vibrant red colour, the light and the hint of shadows on the shuttered surface...........altogether brilliant!

Thank you very much, Keith. Those were the tings that got me to take the shot.

A new twist on an omnipresent logo - a few more variations on this theme and you'll have an advertising campaign!

That is an interesting idea for an advertising campaign, Denis -- how little of the logo can we show and still be recognized?
