Worth having a look at on black, I think. Click the pic or type Z.

More like dining behind bars I think John! I like the way the lady is looking at you and probably wondering why you're taking a photo of her :-)

Lots of lovely verticals there............and I like the distorted reflections in the table top!

Thanks, Keith. The combination of the distorted reflections and the bars is waht caught my eye. Then I just fished for a while and someone finally looked at me.

And not saving this until Friday? Ah, well, there is sure to be another. And Keith is correct - we are in the cage, and does it keep us in or others out? Some interesting illusions, to be sure.

This is all I had, Bob, so it was going up whether it was Friday or not. The fence didn't keep me in, eh? I walked out of there bold as brass.

I sometimes wonder at the way we imprison ourselves while we think we are imprisoning others. But I rather like the table where you can spy on others and not be seen. Great reflections.

Thanks, Jean. A co-worker of mine long ago said that as she rode the streetcar to work past all the homeless people waking up along her route she felt like an animal in a circus wagon.

I think the cage here, though, is mainly intended to keep people out when the food counter is closed. The counter is in a store that is open 24 hours.

Brandon Bartoczek on Flickr, who has photographed hundreds of towns and cities in the States and Canada, has said that he has found that people in big cities aren't bothered by having their picture taken. That has been my experience here and in London.

The viewer and the walking lady: both are in the cage. What's inside, what's outside in modern city-life ?! Fine picture, John !

More than the bars, I'm intrigued by the pink panel. Why is it there? Is it intended to stop outsiders seeing what's on the table?

I'm so observant, George, that I didn't notice. I consulted Google Street View but the panel is new since its photo was taken. That gave me an idea fir another shot, though, so I'll probably be up there soon to find out.

Superb lines.
But what did you eat?

A jerk chicken wrap. It was tasty, although not the best takeout item I've ever had in this line. It's worth going back and trying again, though.
