It actually means they take all debit cards, aNNa. Canadians love debit cards, for some reason. They make you feel more virtuous than credit cards do, I suppose.

The invisible man! (Except for his hands.) This is surreal.

John FitzGerald has replied to rdhinmn
Thanks, Bob. I could have made this resemble what I saw, but since the gentleman had been kind enough to point for me I decided to concentrate on the hands.

Thanks, George. I think he made that gesture just before I shot -- a pleasant sur[rise.

Oooh! It looks like someone's getting a good talking to..!!

On the other hand (no pun intended) it could be that he's just lost his hand puppet................

Well observed though John..........a cracking shot; it makes you want to know what's going on.

Thanks, Keith. This shot is darker than what I saw, so I know a bit more about the people, and I think it may be an even greater mystery to me.

Initially I thought I was looking at a Dutch 'Old Master' then I saw the Visa sign, back to the 'still life', the can, (the colours of which parallel Visa's); brilliant!

So abstract and yet so realistic!!

Thanks, Swire. That may be why I didn't brighten up the shadows, so thanks for the insight, especially as I like photos that are both abstract and figurative.

The Limbo Connection
The Limbo Connection
It is an ordinary moment turned into an extraordinary image, the random convergence of a couple taking refreshment, a shaft of sunlight, a photographer, and a gesture. It would be impossible to repeat. Not even Hollywood could set this up convincingly. It is an opportunity taken, and on that basis alone it is a triumph.
