The sculpture is by Derek Stephan Hudson. It's been on loan from the L. L. Odette Foundation for 12 years.

Enough squares for an elaborate board game! The elephants do draw the eye, though, with the small splash of red that I hope is part of an adult get-around cart rather than an abandoned stroller...

Thanks, Bob. It is a stroller, but Dad was nearby. He moved it before I could finish trying different shots.

I'm with Ulrich on this on.............harsh geometric shapes at the top of the image contrasting with the softer shapes of the people and statues..!! Fantastic shot.

Thanks, Keith. Torontonians seem to like concrete sites. This place is full at lunch hour, as is the wonderland of concrete in front of City Hall.

Nicely composed, these contemporary architectural spaces look more at home in North America...

An interesting point, Denis. I've read European tourists' opinions of Toronto and many of them talk about all the modern buildings. When I'm in Europe, though, I'm impressed by the wide range of architectural styles and the superior craftsmanship. Holborn Bars in London comes to mind -- that brick looks as if it's been knit.

I have some concerns:

1. The mother elephant is way too skinny.
2. The baby elephants appear to be preemies. Will they be OK?
3. What kind of humans abandon their baby in the middle of the Serengeti?

Aside from all of that, it's a highly unusual and amusing photo. The canyon of architecture is fabulous!

Thanks, Diane. I'm afraid there's too much competition among elephants for the scarce vegetation in Commerce Court.

Sorry about getting your name wrong, Diane. I did fix it, though.
