King of the Asphalt (Explored)

King of the Asphalt (Explored)
The Saturday Self-Challenge: Pets in black and white.

Kitty adopted us several years ago. He would hang around the house and do his best to get inside. I was able to track down his owner and I returned him to her. I did this twice. The third time, she offered to let me keep him because he kept running away from her. He comes in at night, when he wants to nap and when he is hungry. He does not mind the cold or the heat.

That’s nIce for you. I had a cat many years ago who took refuge with a neighbour in the snow. I found her some moths later but by that time she had moved and was settled. I was sad but she was fine.

What a gorgeous kitty and what a wonderful story. :) How wonderful to be chosen. That happened to me once, with a Sun Conure. I was at a pet store and this little guy saw me and clung to his cage and followed me around the sides, peering plaintively at me...I went into the room and he literally broke out of the cage through the place his food dish goes in, he LEAPED on me and burrowed into my clothes, making adorable noises. It was so precious...of course I eventually took him home the next week! :) (He then fell in love with my ex some time later, which was ok with me in the end though it did hurt at first)

As I noticed in another photo this week the slit in the cat's eye is about the same as your aperture setting. I never considered that the cat has a built-in light meter that I can reference.

My cat's eyes are wide open in darker room. However, he hates to look into a camera lens and moves so fast that I have to have a high ISO to capture him without a blur.

He looks like the boss of the place - very possessive and comfortable in his pose.
