Berlin Anhalter Bahnhof S-bahn (#2836)

Berlin Anhalter Bahnhof S-bahn (#2836)
Two access points to the Anhalter Bahnhof station of the underground north-south S-bahn that cuts through the middle of Berlin. This portion of the S-bahn was opened in 1939 as part of Hitler's public works program that was designed to "pacify workers by reducing the high unemployment" (see Wikipedia link). Considering the design of these two access points, they may be as originally constructed. This portion of the S-bahn was closed for construction when I was there. "Pacify workers by reducing high unemployment" is an urge Hitler and Roosevelt had in common.

All leaders recognize the value of keeping the workers pacified, the real question is what is behind the leader's motivation for such pacification. From my reading/understanding, for Roosevelt and many other leaders it was just trying to prevent rioting, which was not the case with Hitler. But even in the U.S., it can be argued that using prosperity to mollify the masses has racist undertones,
