Colossal Cave, AZ New Deal (2257)

Colossal Cave, AZ New Deal (2257)
Statue of a CCC worker at the visitor center. This appears to be the standard statue that was used to honor CCC workers since the same image appears at multiple parks around the country.

Colossal Cave is a Pima County park located about 20 miles southeast of Tucson. While the park is famous for its cave, it is also famous for much of the park having been built by the CCC -- which is the main reason I went to visit.

Rob McMonigal, have particularly liked this photo

I've seen this statue in at least two other locations, one at the New Mexico state capitol, and one in a state park here in Illinois.

They have a similar one in the Shenandoah Valley, too. I'll see if I can dig that one up soon.
