Colossal Cave, AZ New Deal (2252)

Colossal Cave, AZ New Deal (2252)
In the picnic area was this rather large structure that was initially difficult to figure out. I eventually figured out that it must have been a bathroom at one time but was difficult to recognize because the roof and some of the walls had disappeared. The rock construction is strongly suggestive of other CCC-built structures.

Colossal Cave is a Pima County park located about 20 miles southeast of Tucson. While the park is famous for its cave, it is also famous for much of the park having been built by the CCC -- which is the main reason I went to visit.
