Preserved former Tillings Transport MXB 733 at Showbus, Duxford – 21 Sep 1997 (373-08)

Sunday 21 September 1997 – Tillings Transport of London was a nationalised company and was thus allowed to purchase bodywork by Eastern Coachworks. The style of body carried by this coach was more commonly found on chassis manufactured by Bristol Commercial Vehicles – ECW and Bristol also being nationalised companies.

Now preserved, MXB 733 was one of five coaches (MXB 733-738) mounted on re-built AEC Regal chassis added to the Tillings fleet in May 1952. At the same time there were ten coaches with similar bodywork mounted on the more traditional Bristol LL6G chassis registered MXB 739-748.
