Eastern Counties VR269 (RAH 269W) in West Row – 26 Jan 1985 (7-31)

Saturday 26 January 1985 – Eastern Counties Omnibus Company VR269 (RAH 269W) seen entering West Row when operating the 1356 service from Beck Row to Bury St. Edmunds. (Technically this was a 975 service rather than 974 as displayed on the blind). It is an Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol VR new in March 1981.

This is the start of Beeches Road, Jarman’s Lane is behind the wall on the right. The cottage in the photograph no longer exists having been demolished and a new property built on the site. The entrance to Ford Close is just behind the camera.
