Former Ipswich Corporation 1 (ADX 1) – 22 August 1993 (202-30)

Sunday 22 August 1993 – Ipswich Corporation Transport’s first motor bus was 1 (ADX 1), a Park Royal bodied AEC Regent III, one of six such buses 1-6 (ADX 1-6) new in May 1950. Prior that that date the undertaking had operated electric powered trams and trolleybuses. In fact the last trolleybuses were delivered in June and July 1950 registered ADX 185-196.

Number 1 was seen at the Ipswich Transport Museum at an event to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the opening of the trolleybus system and the 30th anniversary of its closure.
