Friday 27 September 2019 – Stagecoach bus services 1 and 2 traversing the roundabout at Queen Edith’s Way and Fendon Road in Cambridge are facing diversion (Sept 2019 to April 2020) as a result of modifications as part of the creation of the UK’s first ‘Dutch style’ roundabout. Stagecoach East (Cambus) 19588 (AE10 BWZ), an Alexander Dennis Enviro400 bodied Trident new in April 2010, was operating from Cherry Hinton towards the city centre and Arbury on service 1. It would normally have emerged from the turning on the right but that road being closed off means buses approach the roundabout along Mowbray Road directly beyond. Buses towards Cherry Hinton take a different diversion.
