The sunday challenge = One thing in your home that defines who/what you are ------------------------------------------------------------------------- JPs contribution was an extra challenge for me this week. This image was taken long ago in Ronda Spain. It is special to me while I was managing vet at a bull station for many years. My strong advice: never turn your back on a bull when you wear red!

TSC: One thing in your home that defines who/what you are Not easy to define, interested in so many things, maybe books. I borrow them all from the library through internet. I just took a picture of the books beside my bed at the moment.

The Sunday Challenge: Wie of wat ben ik? Vier weken geleden heb ik na zes jaar weer een halve marathon gelopen en deze spons in de vorm van een hardloper is een souvenir ervan. Geplaagd door rugproblemen en de laatste twee jaar ook door de demotiverende atmosfeer van de coronapandemie kwam dat er niet van, maar na een half jaar ervoor trainen ben ik erin geslaagd. De benodigde tijdsduur was langer dan ik ervoor had getraind maar gezien het erg warme en zonnige weer die dag was het een mooie prestatie. En ja, een paar dagen per week loop ik nog steeds hard. – – – The Sunday Challenge: Who or what am I? Four weeks ago, I ran a half marathon again after six years and this sponge in the shape of a runner is a souvenir of it. Plagued by back problems and the last two years also by the demotivating atmosphere of the corona pandemic, I never got around to doing it, but a half year of training for it I succeeded. It took me much longer than I had trained for, but considering the very warm and sunny weather on that day, it was a fine achievement. Sunday challenge - one thing in your home that defines who/what you are. ... in our study, a fairly obvious choice... Not very tidy, love photography, history, research, books. Taking a photo every day has been part of my life for many years.

The steps down the side of our house leading to the back garden and fruit and veg area. Taken at the end of May but already the lush greens of Spring have all but disappeared under the relentless sun! The two houses are more or less identical, built by the same builder who lived in the house to the right until he died a while ago and both properties were put up for sale at an amazing discount, hence my sister was able to buy the one on the left using a large redundancy payment as a deposit. It was all down to lucky timing!
