Thank you very much. Luckily we saw very little rain in two weeks. We were there in the weeks where it was unbearably hot at home and we had some hot days, although not too hot, and some a little more overcast. That suited me. They had enough rain there to keep the grass looking lovely and lush. I am pleased I have added a link from one of your favourite singers

No you are right Fred. Plenty of rain up in Scotland to keep the grass fresh, although not too much when we were there fortunately. The colours here are true, - lucky sheep!!

In all the years we have been going there I have only once seen the grass parched and dry and that was quite a few years ago.

Thank you very much Falk. We were lucky we did not see a lot of rain and had decent weather but they do have a fair bit of rain so I guess the landscape is usually lush like this. More so now as I believe they have had quite a lot of rain lately.

That's a colour we haven't seen too much of in these parts, this year Carol! A beautiful picture. I know it's Scotland but it reminds me of a road I travelled along in the Lake District, when I just had to stop and take it all in. I can understand that you would want to dream about them! HFF.

Thank you very much Rosa. It really isn't that far from the Lake District and the rolling countryside with it's hills and valleys is very similar. The greens are natural, straight from the camera and went on for as far as the eye could see. I guess it is so lush because of all the rainfall up there, although we were lucky enough not to get a lot of it. Back at home here it is still quite dry and close as the promised thunderstorms have not yet happened.

Thank you very much Doug. We took a little detour and found this beautiful area, green for as far as you could see with just the road weaving gently through the landscape. Just behind this and to the right there was a little farm nestled into the bottom of a valley. I can't imagine how the owners reached it as I couldn't see a road.

Bei uns war es früher auch immer grün, in den letzten Jahren haben wir im Sommer immer öfter trockene Wiesen. Ich mag diese nordische Stimmung.

There are probably a few gaps in my collection of Linda's music but I guess I probably have 90%. "Long Long Time" from her "Silk Purse" album is a beautiful gem. I have the album on cd but also still have a vinyl copy :-)

You must have liked it to buy it twice!! Sadly I didn't keep any vinyl copies and no longer have anything to play them on but still have a lot of cds. Digital is fine but you can't beat having a proper cd to play!

Hello Carol. I have a few dozen vinyl albums that I just had to keep but, like you, I don't have anything to play them on. Although, that is not strictly true. I do have a turntable but it only allows me to copy LP's to the computer. Yes, there is nothing like a proper cd. I used to have cd's in the car but when I changed the car I was disappointed to find there wasn't a cd player. It is a pain putting music on a usb memory stick and then misplacing it :-)

I could not agree more Roger. Our car has no cd player either and I miss it. We mostly just end up with the radio playing. We do have all our cds saved on a laptop and did think at one time I would be ok with that and it would take up less space so gave quite a lot of my cds to my children. I wasn't happy with that and now we are back to storage cabinets with the cds filed away in alphabetic order (artist and title), and easy to find. Running out of storage space though......!!

Impressed that you have cd's filed in alphabetic order. There was a time when I had similar intentions but mine are now a bit of a jumble! I was looking for two specific ones today but haven't been able to find them......yet!

Well it was a good idea at the time as we were moving into a much smaller retirement flat so bought oak cd cabinets to keep them neat and organised. It is fine until you want one from the back of one of the drawers and as they are full they take some getting out. Also when you have a new cd it can be quite a task as putting it in the right place often means shifting cds to the next drawer and so on.... They are nice though and serve their purpose and are better than what we had before as we tried to keep all our collection together. Roger liked them by genre, I liked them by artist so we could never find anything!! Good luck with finding yours!!

The gently rolling landscape and the lush green of the fields were enough to make us pull in for some photos. On the other side of the road was a small waterfall and behind me hills with deep valleys between them and right at the bottom a small farm To me it was some peaceful and made me feel good just looking at it all. It was a little difficult to map though as it was off the beaten track!!
