Lone Highlander at Elgol on Skye..

With the world under attack by Coronavirus I thought I would add my hopes that you will all be kept safe from harm along with this hillside defender.

I spotted him as we were leaving Elgol and I had to get Roger to stop the car to get a quick shot, - always difficult to stop on that narrow road but we were lucky this time. Not sure if he is the lookout or the last line of defence but I thought hwe was cool! Happy Easter. I hope you manage to have a good weekend.

Thank you very much Steve. It is a lovely drive and I like Elgol. The road back out is a bit narrow and generally busy so we were lucky to be able to stop so that I could get a quick shot of this wonderfully carved old Highlander.

Thank you very much Karen. He really does! Massive Attack are from Bristol, less than 40 miles from us and have been going since the late 80's. Their music has featured in films and tv series.
'Safe from Harm' was used in 'The Insider' and 'Definitely Maybe' and 'Protection' was used in 'Hackers' and 'Sabrina'. Have a good week and stay safe.
