Tobermory Reflections

Tobermory Reflections
Tobermory, Isle of Mull. Tobermory was built as a fishing port in the 18th Century and is now the main town on Mull. It is an attractive town and was the setting for the children's television series Balamory

We honeymooned in Tobermory -staying with the distillery manager and his wife, just after the distillery reopened back in '72. Only time I've been back was overhead, when I took loads of aerial shots of it! You look as if you may have been standing in front of their house when you took this shot!

What a lovely place for a honeymoon. We went there the first time on a coach but had very little time there, mainly due to road works on the island. The next time we drove and had more time to enjoy it and managed to see more of Mull, which I loved. I was a little surprised that there was very little mention of Balamory to be found in Tobermory, although I can understand it if the locals just want it to be admired for what it is - a stunningly picturesque island town.

Thank you Skipper. We had no children with us but I was as excited as a child visiting 'Balamory'.
It is such a beautiful place. Happy Sunday to you.
