Eine elegante Pilz-Schönheit - An elegant mushroom beauty - PiP
Einer der schönsten Vertreter der Tintlinge ist der Specht- oder Elster-Tintling (Coprinopsis picacea, Syn. Coprinus picaceus). Der deutsche Name leitet sich wahrscheinlich ab von der schwarz-weißen Flügelfärbung der Buntspechte (bzw. Elstern). In Deutschland ist dieser Pilz relativ selten und wird bevorzugt in Buchenwäldern angetroffen. Er ist nicht essbar. Das im Photo gezeigte Exemplar fand ich im Steigerwald am Wegrand in einem Buchen-Mischwald. Im PiP kann man sehen, wie bei älteren Exemplaren die Schönheit total verschwunden ist.

The English name is probably derived from the black and white colouring of magpies. In Germany, this fungus is relatively rare and preferably found in beech forests. It is not edible. I found the specimen shown in the photo by the wayside in a mixed beech forest. In the PiP you can see how the beauty of older specimens has completely disappeared.
