Roter Vari - Red ruffed lemur

Roter Vari - Red ruffed lemur

The Red Vari (Varecia rubra) is a primate species from the group of lemurs living in Madagascar. In the Tierpark Berlin some animals are kept in a very large outdoor enclosure, which can also be entered by visitors. The Varis are harmless and very trustful!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! How lovely!!! What a wonderful treat to walk in the same enclosure. I am happy to see this lemur is looking very content in its home. That's just great. :)

Thanks for sharing this great picture, I loved it. :)

Thanks for your visit.
The advantage of the Vari outdoor enclosure is that the animals are very trusting and can also be stroked. The supervising woman said: " You don't have to be afraid of the varis when stroking them, if they don't like it anymore, they run away! :)

My favorite are the ring tailed lemurs. I could watch them for hours. I once was at a place where the lemurs would walk up to you. It was heaven.
