Mit den 17974 Pfeifen und ihren 233 Registern gilt die Orgel im Passauer Stephansdom als größte katholische Kirchenorgel der Welt. Die Gesamtanlage der fünf Orgelwerke, die von einem Hauptspieltisch aus gemeinsam gespielt werden können, gilt als technisches Wunderwerk. Für Besucher aus der ganzen Welt ist die Domorgel ein "Muß" beim Aufenthalt in der Dreiflüssestadt. Am 2. Mai beginnt die Saison der Orgelkonzerte. Jeden Werktag um 12.00 Uhr und jeden Donnerstag um 19.30 Uhr finden sie statt.

The five organ works, which can be played together from one main console, are considered a technical marvel. For visitors from all over the world, the cathedral organ is a "must" for their stay in the city of the Three Rivers. The organ concert season begins on 2 May. They take place every working day at 12:00 and every Thursday at 19:30.

Have a nice weekend.
This magnificent organ is now on my must see/hear list. My Father was a very accomplished organist, and I spent many hours sitting beside him on the bench, hearing/feel the music when he was practicing - probably why I'm now deaf!
