Trolle, Elfen usw. leben über ganze Island verteilt in Steinformationen, hinter Wasserfällen oder auf Hügeln. Die Mehrheit (60%) der Bewohner von Island ist überzeugt, dass diese Wesen existieren. Man trifft sie nur jedoch nur selten direkt an.
Da sie nicht gestört werden sollen, werden bei Bedarf auch Strassenbauprojekte usw. geändert (so z.B. 2013 bei einer geplanten Autobahn zwischen den zwei Vororten von Reykjavik).

Die treiben sich ja auch in Norwegen herum, Bueli, und da sie nicht gestört werden wollen, sind wir leider damals auch nicht den Trollstigen gefahren ;-))).

Island wurde von Norwegen aus besiedelt. Da kamen wohl damals auch einige Trolle mit ...

The elf and troll thing is just baffling in a modern country like Iceland. I saw a short report on the news that showed a road or construction project being delayed so that elves would not be disturbed! ;-o

Yeah, and this road project was not somewhere in the wilderness ... that was near the capital!
