An excellent set of images Berny..............I'm guessing that this is still a working area and that you had to get permission to visit?

The site is still in operation and I asked at the (closed) entrance and a friendly guy let us in. So we were really lucky. It varies from location to location. Sometimes you're chased away, sometimes you are interrogated at the next police station (happened once), sometimes you're lucky and can go in.

A wonderful documentary of what I first presumed was a place in Spain (having investigated your series backwards). This demonstrates again the reality of Cuba, of enforced isolation, of a land and people living in a bygone age, that I too have witnessed on a short visit a few years back. I had presumed at first that this whole area was left deserted but from this photo, I see that parts at least are still being used and worked on. -
