Dying Glacier (see PiP)

Dying Glacier (see PiP)
19 August 1839 is the birthday of photography. Since then, we have been able to document the changes in the world.

And so today, on World Photography Day 2022, I would like to publish a photo that can be a document of time. It shows the glacier Rofenkarferner (3,000 - 3600m), a dying glacier in the Ötztal Alps (Tyrol, Austria).

For comparison, a photo from 2007:

~~~~~
Der 19. August 1839 ist der Geburtstag der Fotografie. Seitdem sind wir in der Lage, die Veränderungen der Welt zu dokumentieren.
Und so möchte ich heute, zum Weltfotografietag, ein Foto veröffentlichen, das ein Zeitdokument sein kann. Es zeigt den Rofenkarferner (3.000 - 3600m), einen sterbenden Gletscher in den Ötztaler Alpen (Tirol, Österreich).
Zum Vergleich eine Aufnahme von 2007:
Such an amazing photo. You are so lucky to live in a location of so many grand mountains. Your vision here really makes the majesty of the mountain come through - having the dark clouds showing just a bit at the top, yet enough brightness in the foreground to show us the details of that slope. And your angle on the glacier not only displays your point about it getting smaller, but shows the beauty of it (one of multitudes of reasons to protect it).
Happy World Photography Day (belated).
Die Uros in ihren schwimmenden Inseln im Titicacasee benützen schon Solarmodule! Leider gibt es immer noch Motorboote... aber sie bringen auch Turisten vom Festland, Puno, in ihren Schilfbooten zu ihren Inseln. www.google.com/search?q=wer+sind+die+Uros&oq=wer+sind+die+Uros&aqs=chrome..69i57j33i160.8360j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
We can only observe the damage, which has been known for decades and against which we will once again use technologies that are not without impact on the environment, alas.
The picture is very beautiful, although highly dramatic.
Wir Menschen sind unfähig, aus Einsicht zu handeln. Was wir jetzt tun, um vom Gas unabhängiger zu werden, hätten wir schon vor 10 Jahren tun sollen.
Es braucht immer erst eine Krise oder einen Wahnsinnigen, damit etwas geschieht.
