God Bless You

God Bless You
My utmost respect for Prince Charles' decision to lead his daughter-in-law to the altar today. Diana would certainly like it. May their children and grandchildren be blessed.

Picture: Flamme de la Liberté on the Place de l'Alma (Paris, France), just above the tunnel where Lady Diana died on August 30, 1997. (Image composed of three freehand portrait format shots.)

Gute Frage.

Exceptional capture and well said. My prayers for the success of the royal wedding and for the newly weds to have many happy, healthy and prosperous years for entirety of their lives which I hope will be long.

I have known Willian & Harry since they were babies in a pram on the Royal Estate at Sandringham. I have seen them grow up. (I was never a rabid Diana fan.. saw her tantrums first hand too). Harry and William survived and grew into amazing young men. It took Harry longer to find who he was than it did William.

All that considered... Meghan is perfect. You have to understand the mindset of the Royals... you have to understand it is a hard job at best.. and not the "fairytale" people think. People here have little idea what a 1000 year monarchy REALLY means... the responsibility that goes with it.

I did not know who she was.. I dont watch TV... but I watched her not put a foot wrong over the months.... I watched her soak up the learning she needed to support him.THAT is the bottom line.. the love and the support and it goes both ways.

So... yes.. I approve.. not only approve but I look forward to seeing them thrive as William and Katherine have. They have all between them given the Monarchy and its Service to the Kingdom and the Commonwealth a positive and essential way forward

Well said Pam!
It is true that foreigners often have a hazy understanding of the Monarchy (understandably!).
My French school exchange partner asked me (not all that long ago) if the Queen was married!
I'm intrigued; What was your connection with the Sandringham Estate?

So what are these Royals? Kings or prisoners?
Is it acceptable to cut down a person's freedom? Is it a spouse's job to support her man? I concede: I do not have an understanding of monarchy. But wouldn't it be up to date to set them free? Stopping using human beings as official string puppets? Ever read Kant? ;-)
maybe an unusual criticism of monarchy ... ;-)

They ARE free.. they are NOT puppets.NO.. it is not her job to support .. but isnt that what people who give a damn about each other do ??? Don't they support and CARE about each other ??

No.. you do not have an understanding of a monarchy... thankfully those who "do the job' do have.

Mir sind hundert machtlose Monarchen lieber, als eine Handvoll Autokraten wie Baschar al-Assad, Kim Jong-Un, Rodrigo Duterte, Recep Erdoga oder Donal Trump.
Aber lassen wir die Politik . .

Morgen hoffentlich.)
