Refuge
Alpine hut below the summit of the 'Ellmauer Halt". It is only for emergency cases - like adversed weathers - and without any service. It is not secure at tempests! Anyway the summit may only be climbed by experienced climbers, who are sure-footed and free from giddiness.
~~~~~
Schutzhütte direkt unterhalb des Gipfels der 'Ellmauer Halt'. Sie ist eine unbewirtschaftete Notunterkunft für den Fall, dass man von Schlechtwetter überascht wird. Sie ist jedoch nicht gewitterfest! Ohnehin darf der Gipfel nur bei sicherem Wetter von erfahrenen Bergsteigern mit Trittsicherheit, Schwindelfreiheit und Klettergewandtheit bestiegen werden.
b) den Notabstieg nach Süden zur Gruttenhütte nehmen - die bequemste und sicherste
c) den langen Weg zurück zum Auto nehmen - die riskanteste und fordernste
Aus der Erfahrung meiner Frau, die unten am Fuß des Berges (in Scheffau) geboren und aufgewachsen ist, haben wir entschieden, den langen Weg (durch die Rote-Rinn-Scharte) zu nehmen - aber ohne Bummelei. Denn die Wolke stand südlich. Solche Wolken ziehen erfahrungsgemäß nicht zum Wilden Kaiser rüber.
Es ist wie mit dem Fotografieren: Macht einfach Freude!
Man hat das Gefühl aus dem (Hütten) Fenster sehen zu müssen
Ihr steht offenbar gut "im Saft", um so eine so anstrengende und schwierige Tour auszuhalten. Da könnte ich rein konditionell schon überhaupt nicht mithalten. Schön, dass du uns an deinen Touren teilhaben lässt.
Hab mich mein Leben lang auch nie als Sportler gefühlt.
Es ist einfach die Freude an der Natur, die mich motiviert.
Nachsatz: Solche Hütten können an kritischen Plätzen immer noch lebensrettend sein! Denn nachts und bei Gewitter fliegt kein Helikopter! Und Bergretter möchten bei Gewitter auch keine 1.100 Meter hochklettern.
