Almond blossom
It's never too much
to speak of arms that
go through bodies.
Of almond
blossoms. Of happy
trees. It's never
too much to repeat the
striking beauty.
And what to do before
the aging body,
the betrayed dream,
the forgiveness that
wasn't; how
can we understand the other
side of the border
where the fear and
death watch us?
///
Nunca é demais
falar dos braços que
percorrem corpos.
Das amêndoas em
flor. Das árvores
felizes. Nunca é
demais repetir a
beleza esfuziante.
E que fazer perante
o corpo que envelhece,
o sonho que se trai,
o perdão que não
houve; como
entender o outro
lado da fronteira
onde o medo e a
morte espreitam?
