An unusual looking lighthouse (but of course this may be the norm for Iceland)b but it stands out nicely against the sky along with all it aerials. I really like the cloud formations too and the view across the lagoon is gorgeous.

I like the image in the PiP as well........it's always good to get a little more perspective.

Schönen Dank, Markus! Das war eine ganze Gruppe, die da unterwegs war:-) Funktional ist Standard in Island, die müssen dem Wetter widerstehen (heute z.B. fast im ganzen Land rote Wetterwarnung, Gefahr von Stromausfällen, man soll daheimbleiben;-)

Die Farbe ist etwas ungewöhnlich - für einen Leuchtturm!

The sky looks like liquid. Most lighthouse here are white, or red with white stripes, and those in Norway have red tops. This is an unusual colour. The mountain rane in the background is lovely. I also like the PiP showing the lack beach and the remoteness of the area.

Thanks very much, Amelia! Icelandic lighthouses tend to be mainly functional and not higher than is strictly necessary, with the colour they went a bit overboard here;-)
The area isn't quite as remote as it looks, it's on the ring road!
