I like that idea, fortunately we don't have a very long winter but I always long for weather that lets us get outside. :)

It all depends on what temperatures you are used to,,, In Italy in spring the locals wear woolly jumpers and the tourists run around in summer clothes, in Norway the locals don t-shirts and shorts as soon as the sun shines for a bit while tourists still wear thick clothing;-)

Gudrun, that sounds so familiar. We used to live in upper part of lowers Michigan that is known for it's long, dark, snowy, stormy, days of winter. Living next to Lake Michigan caused a lot of lake effect snow where we used to average 115 + inches a year. Where we live now in the southern part of Virginia , the summers, while hot are not long.We were wearing thin jackets while the locals were in their heavy winter cloths that first winter. lol
