I am standing here, where no-one else will stand
Because I am making a stand.
I reject the war they have not yet begun
In which the world will be destroyed
Its people vaporised
Its forests rendered into matchsticks
Its buildings reduced to rubble.
Rubble Rubble Rubble.

As I am young and inexperienced
in Protest and Demos
My stand shall be experimental
For the gaining of experience
And I shall wear the T-shirt -
The one I enhanced with felt-tip -
And the red ribbon of symbolism.

And I shall pout because I am an accomplished
Pouter. O, I can pout. I am an Olympic Pouter.
Though who cares?
No-one shall notice me.
I’m only doing this for half-an-hour or so.
Maybe just 15 minutes.
It would probably take as long
To destroy the world
In the war they have not yet begun.

And my hair looks nice today
