Freienwill - St. Johannes-Kirche Kleinsolt

Freienwill - St. Johannes-Kirche Kleinsolt
The church was built at the end of the 12th century on a central location about a quarter of a mile apart between the two villages of Kleinwolstrup and Kleinsolt on a flat sandy knoll of a group of hills with graves from the Bronze Age. This is a Romanesque fieldstone building consisting of a flat-roofed single-nave nave and a box choir. The church has a wooden bell tower ("Glockenstapel)" was added in 1684.

The church is located in the parish of Kleinsolt, but not in the village of the same name, but instead in the village of Freienwill.

The church was unfortunately locked.
