Mazerier - Saint-Saturnin

Mazerier - Saint-Saturnin
The parish church Saint-Saturnin was erected in two periods during the early 11th and the 12th century. The church went (like many others) through a reconstruction during the 19th century. Since then the bell tower has the impressive height.

The burial ground all around the Saint-Saturnin probably has the same age. I had information about a mural inside the nave from the 14th century, depicting the Adoration of the Magis, but as the church was locked, I could not see the mural. All the carvings in the narthex are all very vandalized. Just before the rain started, I reached the parking lot.
