Old series street lighting circuit regulator pole in Bluffton, Indiana
Along E Riley St between S Bennett St and S Mulberry St, Bluffton, Indiana.

A regulator pole used on the old series street lighting circuits in Bluffton, Indiana. Bluffton did away with all their series street lighting circuits a few years ago. All glass insulators are CD 230 Hemingray 512 insulators.

Thanks...sorry to say no. Most of the time I always try to shoot on the sunny side of the poles. However, I did wanted a shot of the other side to get a better shot of the pole. When I finally did get back to Bluffton all the lower crossarms and hardware for the series lighting was gone. The transformer was the only thing left on the pole with the top crossarm and couple of wires.

My thoughts are that LEDs are going to be the final nail in the coffin for these old series street lighting setups. Good thing you photographed this while it was still around.

Thanks! I have one more regulator pole to post and other series street lighting shots. If I would of known about series street lighting circuits I would of shot as many of the poles as possible.
