Praying!

Praying!
A striking piece of street art found in Southsea, Hampshire. Cropped to get rid of distractions. Contrast and saturation increased and a vignette added. I don't know who the artist is unfortunately, but he or she is very talented.

Andy Rodker, Susanne Hoy, Roger (Grisly), Petar Bojić and 10 other people have particularly liked this photo

A wonderful piece of street art and you've done it proud. We've all got a lot to pray about at the moment.

WOW!!! What artwork!! Some graffiti just isn't! I love what you did to make it really stand out. Awesome. I often do this and must if I want the subject to get a fair reception. NICE job.I do enjoy the puzzle of pulling a super subject out of a busy scene. The artwork I shared in my current presentation was like that...if I hadn't taken the time, the artwork wouldn't look nearly as interesting!

Your comments are always such an enjoyable read, Keith. Glad you enjoyed the pictures! As for the artwork, I have no idea if they ever sold any of them but every one was chained up to keep fans from taking their favorite pieces. Made me angry to think that anyone would do that but perhaps something was stolen in the past so now everything has cables running through them. (I removed them from the images because they were ugly and simple to get rid of)

Sounds like you're going to have a merry household in a few days! I remember when Steve and I got married we had five extra people here and it was an interesting challenge to get everyone situated, though we have a pair of guest rooms. It all worked out nicely though and I'm sure you've had the family packed in before! DOGPILE!!! :D

Sorry the rain is ruining plans to tidy up the garden but perhaps it's ok if it's so soggy out there anyway. Get some rafts for the kids to play in! HAH! For us, it's been pretty dry but beginning tonight it will be raining for 5 days with a break in the middle...couple of non-rainy days and then a chance of snow on Christmas day! That's always fun but rarely happens.

Our plans are nil! Except we'll be feasting on roast DUCK! That was so tasty at Thanksgiving that we're doing an encore! :D

Oh DEAR, I'm very sorry to hear about your car! What a bother, especially at this time of year when errands are rampant and family is coming! And what a bummer that the price to repair may not be worth it...which means even more coin for another car. Horrible situation, I know. When we hit a deer some years back the car was totalled (though it was repaired) and then untrustworthy so when Steve got another job, we bought another car. It ended up well because we love our adorable Scion IQ and hopefully that will be the same situation for you. Pennies are dear though. *sigh*

Off I go...have a lovely morning/afternoon/evening!
