The Door at Number 4 Canon Lane

The Door at Number 4 Canon Lane
A former archdeaconry in the grounds of Chichester Cathedral. Now a guest house. I liked the old wooden door and the festive decoration.

michael / nureinmoment /, Rosalyn Hilborne, Annemarie, Diane Putnam and 4 other people have particularly liked this photo

The wooden door with its iron door fittings looks great. Especially I like the door arch with its fantastic relief. the stones in the facade build a interesting pattern. The autumn leaves on the flagstones bring life to the picture.

Glad you like it Diane................this is the "tradesmens" entrance set in a very high wall. The front of the house is on private land and I've only ever seen it in photos.

The arch is absolutely beautiful Keith! I like the simple, but very effective wreath on the beautiful door too.
A superb shot :)

Thank you very much Rosa. The whole of the cathedral complex is lovely, but often with far too many people around to get decent photos, especially this time of year!
